Victoria Beckham has confirmed that she now carries a new title following her husband’s knighthood.
David Beckham was officially knighted on November 4, earning the title Sir David Beckham after receiving the honour for his services to sport and charity. The ceremony took place at Windsor Castle, where the former football star was recognised by King Charles.
Appearing on What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Victoria addressed questions about the change in status. When Andy Cohen clarified that her husband is now Sir David Beckham, she confirmed it, responding simply, “He is.”
Cohen then asked if that meant she would now be known as Lady Victoria. Victoria replied, “I am Lady Beckham.”
Referencing her famous Spice Girls nickname, Cohen jokingly asked if he could call her “Lady Posh.” Victoria responded playfully, saying, “Listen, whatever you want,” before adding, “Whatever you want. … Anything for you.”
Following the announcement of the knighthood, Victoria shared an emotional tribute on Instagram. She wrote, “You’ve always been my knight in shining armour, but now it’s official,” and added, “Sir David Beckham!! What an honour, I couldn’t be prouder of you.”
After the ceremony, she posted a photo of the couple at Windsor Castle and reflected on their long journey together. “David, from the moment I met you 28 years ago, you’ve always been so proud to represent your country,” she wrote. “Whether on or off the pitch, no one loves England or respects our Royal Family more, so to see you honoured by The King today is something I’ll forever cherish.”
She also praised his character, saying, “You’ve achieved so much, and yet you’re still the same kind, humble, hardworking man I met nearly 30 years ago, as well as the most amazing husband and father.”
Victoria later reiterated her pride in another message, writing, “I’ve never felt prouder than I do today. Sir @davidbeckham, we all love you so much xxx.”
