Nigerian superstar Wizkid has claimed the top spot as the most streamed artist in Nigeria on Spotify in 2025, solidifying his status as one of the country’s leading musical exports.
According to Spotify’s quarterly data, Wizkid led Nigerian streams in the first quarter of 2025, amassing 218 million streams, surpassing fellow artists Asake and Seyi Vibez, who placed second and third, respectively.
This achievement adds to Wizkid’s growing list of global milestones. He recently became the first African artist to surpass nine billion total streams on Spotify across all his songs and collaborations. His hit track “One Dance” with Drake and Kyla remains one of his most streamed songs, contributing significantly to his overall numbers.
Wizkid’s latest album, Morayo, also set records, achieving the biggest first-day stream count in Nigerian Spotify history, with 12.12 million streams within 24 hours of release.
These milestones underscore Wizkid’s dominance in the Afrobeats scene and his growing international influence. His 2025 streaming success demonstrates not only his enduring popularity in Nigeria but also the global appeal of his music.
