Popular content creator and streamer Carter Efe is facing renewed public scrutiny following the emergence of screenshots and video clips online alleging physical abuse toward his baby mama, Emmanuella.
The new wave of allegations stems from posts shared on social media by Mss_Mona1, identified as a friend of Emmanuella.
She shared screenshots of alleged WhatsApp conversations and claimed that Carter Efe physically abused Emmanuella and forced her out of their home with their baby shortly after childbirth.
According to her, Emmanuella “has been suffering in the hands of Carter Efe,” adding that she and Emmanuella’s sister reportedly took care of the child for several months following the incident.
The controversy gained further traction after social media commentator VeryDarkMan reposted a video clip showing Emmanuella with a visibly swollen face. The video has been widely circulated online and cited by users as supporting earlier claims made against the streamer in 2024.
On Sunday, Carter Efe publicly confirmed that he and Emmanuella are no longer together, stating that they had been separated for over a year.
He said the breakdown of the relationship had a severe impact on his mental health, finances, and creative output.
Emmanuella subsequently responded, disputing aspects of his claims and expressing hurt over the public disclosure of private matters. She also alleged that she was discouraged from pursuing her education and career during the relationship.
As of the time of this report, Carter Efe and his representatives have not responded to the newly circulated screenshots and video clips alleging abuse.
The situation has sparked intense debate across social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and X, with many users expressing support for Emmanuella, while others have called for caution and questioned the authenticity of the materials shared online.
Carter Efe rose to prominence as a comedian, musician, and livestreamer. In December 2025, he became one of Africa’s most-followed Twitch streamers following a high-profile livestream featuring Nigerian music star Davido.
