Don Lemon has responded sharply to Nicki Minaj following her recent online tirade aimed at the veteran broadcaster.
The former CNN anchor appeared on TMZ Live on Monday, January 19, where he addressed the rap star’s profane post on X (formerly Twitter), which targeted him over his views on ICE. In the now-viral message, Minaj lashed out at Lemon with a series of insults and accused him of bias.
Lemon did not hold back in his response. Taking to his personal Instagram page and reiterating his comments on TMZ Live, he branded Minaj “ignorant” and “bigoted,” while urging her to “sit the f*** down” and “grow some brains.”
He also criticised the rapper’s recent political positioning, describing her as a “pick me” in reference to her public support for MAGA-linked figures.
Escalating the feud further, Lemon brought Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, into the conversation. He questioned her motivations, suggesting that Petty’s reported criminal history involving sexual violence could explain why she may be aligning herself with Donald Trump, allegedly in search of protection or potential pardons.
As of the time of writing, Nicki Minaj has not responded to Don Lemon’s remarks.
