“They don’t actually give you scripts, They only use it as bait” – Etinosa Idemudia Opens Up on Early Career Challenges and Casting Deception

Etinosa motivate fans in epic fashion

Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has spoken candidly about the challenges she faced at the start of her acting career, including an incident in which a man attempted to lure her by offering her a movie script.

Speaking during an interview, Etinosa revealed that the individual claimed to have a script for her and invited her to his house for rehearsals. She said she later learned that such tactics were commonly used to deceive aspiring actresses.

“They tell you they have scripts and ask you to come to their house to rehearse. Later in life, I understood that most of the time, those scripts are projects they have already shot and are just being used to deceive girls,” she said.

According to the actress, the deception often runs deeper, with some individuals falsely presenting themselves as directors.

“They don’t actually give you scripts. They only use it as bait. Sometimes, the person speaking to you may not even be the real director. It could be a PA or someone pretending. It might even be a script picked up from a set,” Etinosa added.
