The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has once again reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS).
It was observed that fuel sales across parts of Abuja on Monday morning observed that NNPCL retail outlets have lowered their petrol price to N815 per litre from the previous N835, representing a N20 reduction.
The new price has already taken effect at NNPCL filling stations in Wuse Zones 4 and 6, along the Keffi–Abuja Road, and on the Kubwa Expressway.
Confirming the development, an NNPCL filling station attendant, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the revised price was implemented on Sunday evening.
Despite the reduction, the N815 per litre price remains N79 higher than the N739 per litre currently sold at Dangote Refinery–backed MRS filling stations nationwide.
Recall that on December 19, 2025, NNPCL slashed its petrol price by N80 to N835 per litre amid intense competition in the downstream oil sector, triggered by Dangote Refinery’s earlier gantry price cut to N699 per litre.
