Popular gospel singer and minister, Nathaniel Bassey, has issued a stern warning to married men engaging in extramarital relationships with single women, stressing that such actions will attract serious consequences.
The 44-year-old worship leader made the remarks in a now-viral video while addressing a congregation, where he cautioned married men who deceive young women and lead them on under false pretenses.
Bassey made it clear that his warning was not a joke, insisting that those involved in such acts would not escape the repercussions.
“If you’re a married man and you go about deceiving young girls, leading them on. Some even go as far as sleeping with them,” he said.
“I place a demand on the grace of God upon my life. If you try it this year, you won’t survive. Your shame will not be forgotten. It will be on social media,” Bassey added.
He further warned against secret hotel meetings, stating that married men who lie about their marital status would face public disgrace.
“If you take a woman to a hotel, you lie; meanwhile, if you are married, you will not come out of that hotel. If you like, take what I’m saying jokingly,” he said.
The gospel singer, widely known for the Hallelujah Challenge, also addressed women who knowingly engage in relationships with married men. According to him, material benefits would not protect them from the consequences of such actions.
“You too, you are a lady. If you know that a man is married and you know it in your heart, but because of greed, attention, Brazilian wigs, Brazilian hair, or designer bags, you choose to go ahead — if you try it, you won’t survive it,” he warned.
Bassey concluded by urging both men and women to live with integrity, uphold moral values, and remain accountable in their relationships.
