Hallelujah Challenge: “If you don’t want to watch it, leave it alone” —Pastor Nathaniel Bassey

Nathaniel Bassey Warns Married Men Against Affairs With Single Women

Founder of the Hallelujah Challenge, Nathaniel Bassey, has reacted strongly to increasing criticism of the global online prayer movement, urging critics to disengage peacefully instead of attacking it.

Speaking during a recent session, the gospel minister cautioned against what he described as unnecessary resistance to the Hallelujah Challenge. He warned that publicly mocking or deliberately opposing the prayer initiative could have serious spiritual consequences.

Referencing biblical accounts, Bassey cited examples of individuals who spoke against divinely inspired acts and later faced judgment, stressing that such outcomes were not accidental. He maintained that initiatives carrying significant spiritual weight often attract opposition.

“If you don’t want to watch it, leave it alone,” he said, emphasizing that choosing not to participate should not result in hostility.

Bassey also anchored his remarks on scripture, quoting the Book of Genesis 49:10 to underscore the authority embedded in praise. He explained that the tribe of Judah represents worship and spiritual leadership, adding that praise naturally draws both divine attention and resistance.

According to him, the level of criticism directed at the Hallelujah Challenge reflects its spiritual impact and global reach. He described the movement as more than a virtual gathering, portraying it as a spiritual altar that continues to attract millions of participants worldwide.

The pastor further addressed what he described as spiritual forces behind the opposition, urging them to steer clear of the movement. He encouraged participants to remain focused, prayerful, and undistracted, insisting that criticism should not diminish their commitment.

Bassey concluded by reassuring followers that resistance often signals influence, urging them to stay steadfast and continue serving God through worship and prayer.
