American singer Pink has revealed that she spent New Year’s Eve in the hospital preparing for surgery.
The Just Like a Pill hitmaker, whose real name is Alecia Moore, shared a selfie from her hospital bed on Instagram on New Year’s Eve, showing a large white bandage on the front of her neck.
In a lengthy caption, the 46-year-old disclosed that she was undergoing a procedure to receive “two shiny new discs” in her neck, describing it as part of her commitment to caring for her body after years in the music industry.
“I end the year giving reverence to, paying attention to, and to fixing my body,” she wrote. “It may not be a fancy facelift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck. A new scar, a new reminder that I appreciate this vessel that I have and use it for all it’s worth. Rock ’n’ roll is a contact sport.”
Pink also revealed that she was alone in the hospital while her husband, Carey Hart, and their two children were away snowboarding, but said the experience gave her clarity and optimism for the year ahead.
“As I sit here by myself on New Year’s Eve in a hospital room while my family is happily snowboarding, I know that 2026 is going to be better because that is the choice that I have made,” she added.
Reflecting on the past year, the Raise Your Glass singer admitted she was relieved to say goodbye to 2025, describing it as a year that ranged from “absolutely devastating to mildly annoying.”
Looking ahead, Pink said she intends to leave behind pain and consciously choose joy in 2026.
“I’m going to choose positive thoughts over negative ones. I’m going to reclaim my wild and keep searching for the light, even as I experience the darkness,” she wrote, wishing her followers a new year filled with more joy than sorrow.
Pink and Carey Hart share two children, daughter Willow, 14, and son Jameson, nine.
