American pop star Sabrina Carpenter has revealed that she accidentally set her bathroom on fire.
The Espresso hitmaker made the disclosure via her Instagram Stories on New Year’s Eve while sharing a recap of moments from the past year. Among the series of photos, which included behind-the-scenes images from her Short n’ Sweet Tour, Sabrina Carpenter posted a striking image of a badly burned bathroom countertop and sink, with parts of the mirror covered in soot.
“Set my bathroom on fire by accident,” the 26-year-old wrote, alongside a white heart emoji.
Although a red candle holder could be seen on the countertop in the photo, Sabrina did not provide further details about how or when the incident occurred.
Despite the mishap, 2025 has been a successful year for the singer-songwriter. She collaborated with country music legend Dolly Parton on a remix of her hit single Please Please Please and released other songs including Manchild and Tears.
Sabrina Carpenter also dropped her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, in August.
In a separate Instagram post shared ahead of Christmas, the pop star expressed gratitude to her fans for their continued support.
“I love you guys so much,” she wrote. “Thank you for caring for these songs the way I do and for such a special 2025!! I feel lucky to know there’s still so much good to come.”
