Britney Spears Granted Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker

Britney Spears relocates to Mexico

American pop star, Britney Spears, has been granted a restraining order against a man accused of harassing her for several years.

According to court documents, Britney Spears alleged that a 51-year-old Louisiana man identified as Donald had been harassing her online since 2013 and making disturbing social media posts about her.

Spears’ legal team reportedly raised serious concerns for the singer’s safety, noting that the man had posted the phrase “bullet hole heart” on social media.

The suspect was previously arrested in 2015 for trespassing at Britney Spears’ home after her security team spotted him on the property and alerted authorities.

A sheriff’s deputy said the man exhibited unusual behaviour and made several incoherent comments during the incident.

Court documents also revealed that he has a lengthy criminal history, including convictions for criminal trespass and aggravated assault in 2019.

The court has ordered him to stay at least 100 yards away from Britney Spears. The restraining order will remain in effect until 2030.

The development comes just hours before Spears was reportedly arrested in Ventura County, California, on Wednesday night for allegedly driving under the influence.

She was later released from custody in the early hours of Thursday.
