John Legend Parts Ways with Manager, Joins Roc Nation

John Legend

John Legend has ended his longtime management relationship with Ty Stiklorius and her firm Friends at Work.

The singer is now being managed by Roc Nation, according to confirmation from The Hollywood Reporter.

It remains unclear when the transition officially took place, as Stiklorius had spoken about her work with John Legend as recently as February during a panel discussion for a Global Citizen event in Beverly Hills.

John Legend first rose to prominence in 2004 with his critically acclaimed debut album Get Lifted, which established him as one of the leading voices in R&B.

Reflecting on their long partnership, Stiklorius described their collaboration as both meaningful and impactful.

“Twenty years is a lifetime in this business, and I’m proud of the work John and I did together that was rooted in creativity, trust, love and ambition,” she said.

“I’m energised by what’s ahead for both of us as I pass the music management baton to Jay Brown at ROC Nation. I continue to be John’s partner in the many for-profit and non-profit ventures we built together and John’s biggest champion.”

The The Voice judge has won 13 Grammy Awards over the course of his career and is known for major hits including All of Me and his collaboration with Meghan Trainor, Like I’m Going to Lose You.
