Former Big Brother Naija housemate Queen Atang has opened up about how motherhood transformed her life as she joined millions of women around the world to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Taking to her Instagram page, the reality TV star shared a heartfelt reflection, revealing that there was a time she was terrified of childbirth and never imagined she would become a mother.
In her message, Queen admitted that years ago she strongly believed she would never have children because of her fear.
“Motherhood has been such an incredible journey. Funny enough, years ago, I used to say I never wanted to give birth because I was so scared. Now, when I think about it, I just laugh at myself,” she wrote.
“Life really has a way of changing your mind.”
The Akwa Ibom-born influencer explained that becoming a mother completely reshaped her priorities and strengthened her drive to succeed for the sake of her child.
According to her, motherhood has pushed her to become more determined, resilient, and focused on building a meaningful future.
“Today, all I want is to be the best mother I can be. Motherhood has made me more focused, more resilient, and more motivated to work hard and build a future my kids will be proud of,” she added.
“Even on the days when I’m tired and running on little sleep, the love makes it all worth it.”
Queen also expressed gratitude to God for the experience, describing motherhood as one of the most fulfilling chapters of her life.
“Thank you, God, for this beautiful experience. I’m forever grateful,” she said.
She went further to celebrate mothers across the world, acknowledging the sacrifices and dedication that come with raising children.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful mothers around the world. Take your flowers mommies, you deserve them and so much more,” she wrote.
“May God continue to bless us with wisdom, strength, patience (because we definitely need it), and the grace to keep being the amazing mothers our children need.”
Queen welcomed her daughter in 2023 after publicly announcing her pregnancy in December 2022.
She rose to fame after appearing in the 2021 edition of Big Brother Naija: Shine Ya Eye, and has since remained active on social media, where she frequently shares glimpses of her personal life, career, and motherhood journey with her followers.
