“This war will hit everyone no matter race, religion” – Iran warns

Iran Minister

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has warned that the global consequences of the ongoing conflict will extend far beyond the region, affecting people across the world.

Speaking on Wednesday, March 18, Araghchi stated that the impact of the war would be felt by everyone, regardless of race, religion, or economic status.

He made the remarks while calling on Western officials to show stronger resistance to the war.

“[A] wave of global consequences has only commenced and will affect all – irrespective of wealth, religion, or race,” Araghchi wrote on X.

His post also included a copy of a resignation letter from Joe Kent, who stepped down from his role at the National Counterterrorism Center on Tuesday, March 17.

In the letter, Kent stated that he could not “in good conscience” support the ongoing war in Iran, adding that “Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation.”

Araghchi further noted what he described as a growing number of voices, including officials from Europe and the United States, who believe the war against Iran is unjust.

“More members of the international community should take similar action,” his post concluded.
