Blessing CEO Returns to Social Media After Cancer Claim Controversy and Fundraising Backlash

“If you are too big or fine to be accountable to your partner, then stay single” Blessing CEO

Weeks after disappearing from social media amid a storm that sparked outrage across the internet, relationship commentator Blessing CEO has resurfaced online, reigniting conversation about one of the most controversial influencer scandals in recent months.

Her return comes after intense backlash over claims she made in March that she was battling stage four breast cancer, a revelation that initially drew sympathy and support before quickly unravelling into a broader controversy involving allegations of forgery and fraudulent fundraising.

At the centre of the uproar was a medical report Blessing shared as proof of her diagnosis while appealing for public financial support. But the narrative took a dramatic turn when Xinus Medical Diagnostics publicly disputed the document, alleging it had been altered.

The facility claimed the report originally belonged to Deborah Mbara, a cancer survivor and makeup artist, who later publicly accused Blessing of using her private medical information without consent.

What began as online scepticism soon escalated into questions about legal and public accountability.

Mbara’s family reportedly petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, alleging cyberbullying, forgery, and a fraudulent fundraising operation tied to the cancer claim.

The petition further alleged that over N300 million may have been raised from Nigerians under false pretences, intensifying calls for investigation.

The controversy deepened when the Nigerian Cancer Society also called for a formal probe, arguing that the matter touched not only on possible misconduct but also on public trust in legitimate cancer advocacy.

As criticism mounted, Blessing deactivated her Instagram account and went silent.

Now back online, she appears to have wiped nearly all traces of the controversy from her page. Posts linked to the cancer diagnosis, interviews, and updates shared during the period have reportedly been removed. One related post remains, a documentary-style video focused on breast self-examination.

That cleanup has only fueled further discussion.

For some observers, the return signals an attempt at resetting her public image. For others, it raises fresh questions, particularly around accountability and what happens next regarding the donations reportedly made during the fundraising period.

The controversy remains unresolved in the public eye, especially as scrutiny continues over both the allegations and the handling of funds reportedly collected.

Known for often courting controversy, Blessing CEO has repeatedly dominated headlines with provocative takes on relationships and gender dynamics.

But this episode moved beyond online drama into far more serious territory, touching on health advocacy, public trust, and potential legal consequences.

Her return to social media may mark a new chapter in the story, but it has not closed the questions surrounding it.

If anything, it has brought them back into focus.
