Nollywood actress and filmmaker Foluke Daramola has officially obtained the nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The actress is seeking to represent Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency I in the House of Representatives under the APC platform.
Foluke announced the development on Facebook, where she shared photographs of herself holding the party forms.
The actress had earlier declared her intention to contest for the federal legislative seat, signaling a stronger move into active politics after years in the entertainment industry.
Addressing supporters and residents of the constituency, she reaffirmed her commitment to community development and public service.
“As your servant and potential aspirant for the House of Representatives, Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 1, I, Hon. Foluke Daramola-Salako, lift you up in prayers,” she wrote.
“Together, we will build a stronger, better Oshodi.”
Foluke Daramola rose to prominence in the late 1990s and has featured in several Yoruba and English-language films throughout her career.
Beyond entertainment, she is also known for advocacy work against sexual violence and abuse through her foundation and humanitarian activities.
Her decision to run for the 2027 House of Representatives seat adds to the growing number of entertainers seeking political positions in Nigeria in recent years.
The APC had earlier released its official timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 elections, including procedures for obtaining nomination and expression of interest forms for various political offices.
