Nollywood actor and relationship commentator Lege Miami has opened up emotionally about painful experiences from his past relationships, revealing how he allegedly sponsored women through school only to later be rejected because of his educational background and inability to speak fluent English.
The actor shared the deeply personal story while reflecting on love, sacrifice, heartbreak, and the emotional toll of repeatedly being told he was “not compatible” enough for marriage.
According to Lege Miami, he began working and hustling from a very young age while trying to support the women he loved financially and emotionally.
“How some women used me and never got married to me just because I didn’t go to school and I couldn’t speak good English after paying for their school fees and sending another girl to United Kingdom,” he said.
The actor recalled one of his earliest serious relationships with a woman he claimed gained admission into Obafemi Awolowo University to study Law.
He explained that he remained committed throughout her academic journey and worked tirelessly to make her comfortable.
“I have started labouring as early as 16 years,” he stated.
“Then I used to have a girlfriend that I loved so much.”
Lege claimed he attended her matriculation ceremony and handled her financial responsibilities throughout school.
“On the day of her matriculation I was with her, I paid her school fees throughout, I was busy working for her to be comfortable,” he added.
Interestingly, he also disclosed that his decision to venture into acting was partly influenced by her admiration for actors.
“It was because of her I joined acting because she used to love actors,” he revealed.
However, according to him, the relationship eventually collapsed during her final year in school after she allegedly told him they were no longer compatible because he was “an illiterate.”
“When she got to her final year she called and told me we are no more compatible, that I am an illiterate and she can’t get married to someone like me,” he claimed.
“I was so confused and shocked. She left.”
The actor further narrated another failed relationship that produced children but still ended over similar compatibility issues.
“I started dating another woman, she was the one that gave birth to Mercy and David,” he said.
“She too said we are not compatible.”
Lege Miami’s emotional revelation has since triggered conversations online, with many social media users sympathising with his experiences while others discussed how education, communication, and social status often affect relationships and marriage decisions.
Known for his outspoken personality and controversial relationship advice online, Lege Miami remains one of the most talked about figures in Yoruba entertainment and social media discussions.
