Veteran gospel singer Tope Alabi has emotionally opened up about painful experiences of betrayal, conflict, and alleged spiritual attacks that pushed her into making a drastic personal decision about helping people in the entertainment industry.
Speaking candidly about some of the individuals she once accommodated and supported, the gospel minister revealed that several difficult encounters completely changed the way she views mentorship and assistance within the music space.
According to her, one of the most heartbreaking situations involved a married couple whose actions nearly ruined the career of a talented female artist she had been helping.
“I never knew these people are so dramatic,” she said while referring to the husband and wife.
Tope Alabi explained that the woman was already growing musically while staying under her roof and had even recorded multiple projects there, with support from the same producer who was working on her own albums.
“This lady had started making it then,” she recalled.
“She already did two albums under my roof.”
However, she claimed the woman’s husband became controlling and difficult, allegedly refusing to contribute anything positive while still expecting luxury and comfort in her home.
“The husband insisted it’s forbidden for a man to help his wife,” she said.
“He never wanted to help but wanted to be living a big man lifestyle under our roof.”
The singer added that the situation eventually became so tense that she had to ask the couple to leave her home.
“That was how the glory of that talented lady went off,” she said sadly.
The gospel singer further revealed that another married couple she once helped had also allegedly turned completely against her.
“The second people were also husband and wife, they ganged up against me,” she claimed.
According to Tope Alabi, things became even more disturbing when a third set of people she once assisted approached her.
She alleged that after asking them to leave her home, they moved in with people she considered enemies and began revealing private details about her spiritual life and prayer sessions.
“They went straight to my enemy’s house and started living with my enemy,” she alleged.
The singer further claimed the situation later escalated into what she described as serious spiritual attacks against her and her family.
“This last set wanted to kill me if not for God behind me and my family,” she stated.
“Different arrows were shot at me but I thank God, the Lord rescued me and my family.”
Following the painful experiences, Tope Alabi said she reached a difficult conclusion about helping people within the entertainment industry.
“That was when I came to the conclusion that I will never help anyone again in this industry because most people are evil,” she said.
Her emotional revelations have sparked strong reactions online, especially among fans and gospel music followers, who discuss mentorship, betrayal, and the emotional burden that often accompanies supporting emerging talent in the entertainment industry.
