John Cena Shows Off Bald Head After Second Hair Transplant

John Cena says he will retire from WWE in-ring competition in 2025

WWE legend and Hollywood actor John Cena has given fans an honest update on his hair restoration journey, sharing photos of himself after undergoing a second hair transplant.

The 49-year-old shared an image from Anderson Center for Hair in Atlanta, proudly showing his freshly shaved head after another round of treatment to address hair loss.

Rather than hiding the procedure, Cena has continued to speak openly about his experience, hoping to help remove the stigma surrounding men’s hair restoration.

According to the former wrestling champion, he recently underwent another Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) procedure.

FUE is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique in which individual hair follicles are taken from areas with healthy hair growth and implanted into thinning or balding sections of the scalp.

While many patients keep some hair during recovery, Cena revealed that he chose to shave his head completely to achieve the best possible results.

Explaining the decision in a Facebook post, he said he wanted to “go all in” on the treatment.

Cena has previously admitted that constant jokes from wrestling fans about his thinning hair played a major role in convincing him to seek treatment.

Speaking to People magazine last year, the actor recalled repeatedly seeing signs from fans during WWE events mocking his bald spot.

“I saw their signs that said, ‘The bald John Cena.’ They pushed me into going to see what my options were.”

The wrestling icon said he eventually decided to undergo his first hair transplant in 2024 after years of feeling self-conscious about his hair loss.

Cena also revealed that he now follows a strict hair-care routine, including red-light therapy, minoxidil, specialized shampoos and conditioners, and vitamins to support hair growth.

Looking back, he admitted he regrets waiting so long before taking action.

“I hate the fact that if there wasn’t so much shame around it, I’d have gotten it done 10 years ago.”

The actor added that the procedure has had a significant impact on both his confidence and career.

According to Cena, the hair transplant “completely changed the course of my life” and has given him greater confidence while taking on acting roles in Hollywood.

Unlike many celebrities who choose to keep cosmetic procedures private, Cena has earned praise for openly documenting his hair restoration journey.

Many fans applauded him for helping normalize conversations about male hair loss, noting that millions of men experience similar challenges yet often avoid discussing them because of social stigma.

With his latest procedure now complete, the WWE legend appears determined to continue embracing the process publicly, encouraging others not to feel embarrassed about seeking treatments that improve their confidence.
