Afrobeats star Davido has weighed in on the ongoing dispute between his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, and National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo.
The disagreement began after Governor Adeleke suspended the activities of the NURTW in Osun State following a series of violent incidents linked to transport union operations. The state government said the decision was taken to restore peace and maintain public order.
MC Oluomo, however, rejected the suspension, arguing that no state governor has the authority to halt the union’s activities. His remarks quickly sparked reactions on social media.
Davido, who is Governor Adeleke’s nephew, publicly backed the governor by responding directly to MC Oluomo on social media.
In a strongly worded post, the singer wrote:
“@kingmcoluomo dem say u Dey game … I doubt lol look ur mirror.”
Neither Governor Adeleke nor MC Oluomo has publicly responded further to Davido’s remarks as the disagreement continues to attract attention online.
