The ongoing marriage crisis involving Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo and her husband, Bobby Maris, has taken a dramatic turn after the actress’ sister, Ogbodo Sochima, publicly lashed out at him on social media.
In a series of posts shared on her Instagram Story, Sochima accused Bobby of contributing nothing to his family and alleged that Uche received neither financial nor emotional support from him.
Expressing her frustration, Sochima described Bobby as a lazy husband who allegedly spends most of his time sleeping instead of supporting his family.
She wrote:
“Karimot husband!! Very lazy thing!! Sleeps from Monday to Sunday, contributes absolutely nothing to the growth of the family, not even physical, emotional, or general care for his children.”
She added that while money is not everything in a marriage, the absence of both financial and emotional support made the situation even worse.
“I mean, money is not everything, but when you are not getting money or emotional support, Omo.”
Sochima further alleged that Bobby deliberately provoked her sister before recording her reactions.
According to her, he would act differently on social media than he did at home.
“The idiot will even come on social media to be acting like a big boy. Omo, that thing used to annoy me ehn. You will provoke your wife, and once she’s set off, the idiot will bring out a camera and start recording.”
She claimed Uche’s only “offence” was deciding to end the relationship.
“Her only crime was that she said she wasn’t doing it again. Go and find your next client, lazy thing!”
In another post, Sochima appeared to reference recent online drama involving Bobby, writing:
“Keep leaking tape. Don’t enter house at your old age!! You wan do saga. No wahala na.”
The latest allegations come days after fans noticed that Uche Ogbodo and Bobby Maris had unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking rumours of a marital crisis.
The speculation grew after Bobby shared a cryptic message stating:
“The crown wife is not fit for every woman’s head.”
Uche later fueled further discussion by reposting a message about surviving relationships with narcissists, though she did not directly mention her husband.
As of the time of writing, Bobby Maris has not publicly responded to the allegations made by Sochima, while Uche has also yet to issue an official statement addressing the escalating family dispute.
