Popular Nigerian author and lawyer, Reno Omokri have voiced out his frustration on the treatment received by Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau, over a backless dress she wore some days ago.
Recall that Rahma received a lot of backlash from Arewa Twitter on Monday,
November 2, after she shared the photos of herself rocking a gown that exposed her back.
According to them, her dress is unIslamic and should never be worn by a public figure like her.
This led to the Northern filmmakers under the aegis of Motion Picture Practitioners
Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) suspending the Kannywood actress
despite that she has apologised for wearing such outfit.
Reno Omokri who is famous for his controversial statement on social media
have now slammed those attacking the actress as he urge them to channel that
strength into fighting politicians stealing their money.
The former spokeperson to Nigeria former president, Goodluck Jonathan asked if
Rahama deserves the punishment she’s receiving as stealing is bad
but politicians embezzeling money are still being celebrated.
He slammed Nigerians especially those from Rahama state for looking beyond the
attack on innocent citizens by the Boko Haram, Herdsmen and attacking
the actress over an outfit.
Remo Omokri urged Nigerians to channel their anger towards the politicians stealing
from them and not someone like the actress whose dressing has not
impact on their children safety.
