Nigeria University Commission secretary, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed, has been spotted in United Kingdom celebrating his son who just graduated from a reputable University despite the ongoing ASUU strike.
The ACADEMIC Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) branches all over the country have
been on strike for the past eight months and chances that the strike will be
called off soon is not feasible.
ASUU have been able to reach a compromise with the federal government as the future of
thousands of youths across the country have been put on hold.
Despite all the eyebrows the strike has raised on social media, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed and his
son were all smiles as they pose for a picture at the graduation ceremony.
The proud father held his son’s certificate in his hand as Nigerians continue to bemoan why top
officials in the government are taking their children abroad to study instead of making the education sector a better place.
