Vanessa Bryant has taken to social media to remember her late husband and daughter Kobe Bryant and Gianna on the 1 year anniversary of their tragic deaths.
Kobe and Gianna along with 7 others passed away in a helicopter crash in Calabasas on January 26, 2020. Kobe was 41. Gianna was only 13.
So, on January 26, 2021, Vanessa Bryant posted an emotional letter penned by one of Gianna’s best friends, Aubrey Callaghan.
Aubrey in the letter had heaped praise on Gianna as she noted that she ever become a mom, her prayer is that her daughter turns out exactly Gianna.
According to Aubrey, Gianna was kind, caring and endlessly polite.
Reacting to the emotional letter, Vanessa responded to Aubrey by noting that she loves her just as her daughter had loved her before thanking her for beautifully sharing some of memories of her daughter with her.
Vanessa concluded her post with something most people are still trying to wrap their heads around as she noted how sad it is to see people like Kobe and Gianna die such a tragic death.
“I will never understand why/how this tragedy could’ve happened to such beautiful, kind and amazing human beings” she wrote.
