Barca and Madrid set for Clasico Copa del Rey semi-final battle

Luuk De Jong Set to Stay at Barca, while Memphis Depay might be sold

Barcelona and Real Madrid will compete for a place in the Copa del Rey final.

On Monday, LaLiga leaders Barcelona and Los Blancos were drawn to meet in the semi-finals, with the winner facing either Athletic Bilbao or Osasuna.

The Blaugrana defeated Real Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana final earlier this month in Riyadh to win their first trophy under head coach Xavi.

There will be two more El Clasico cup matches to look forward to, with the first leg taking place at Santiago Bernabeu in the week beginning February 27 and the second match taking place at Camp Nou in the week beginning April 3.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side won 3-1 in LaLiga in October, but Barcelona has since opened up a five-point lead at the top.

In the first leg against Athletic, Osasuna will have home advantage.

On May 6, the final will be held at Sevilla’s Estadio de la Cartuja.
