JUST IN: President Bola Tinubu Appoints Malam Nuhu Ribadu As NSA

Malam Nuhu Ribadu, a former head of the EFCC, has been nominated as Nigeria’s new NSA.

Shehu Sani, a former politician, announced this on his official Twitter page.

Malam Nuhu Ribadu, the former chairman of the EFCC, will be the new national security adviser (NSA), according to a source. On Monday or Tuesday, he will be declared.

According to sources, Tinubu considered the three candidates for the NSA position before deciding on Ribadu, who is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s experienced individuals in the field of security and law enforcement, as part of his efforts to fulfill his promise to deliver a “bold, no-nonsense crime prevention reform” to protect Nigerians.

General Abdulrahman Dambazau, a former chief of the army staff and former minister of the interior, and Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the current director-general of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), are the other two candidates who apparently were under consideration.

He tweeted on the appointment as follows:
