Nigerian singer Ibrahim Balogun, also known as Wizkid, has decided to cancel his upcoming tour for his album ‘more love less ego’.
This decision comes several months after the singer’s mother tragically passed away on August 18th, 2023.
Initially, Wizkid had postponed the ‘More love less ego’ tour to take place in the fall of 2023, from September to December, due to unforeseen circumstances. However, a recent statement from his management announced that the tour has now been completely cancelled.
Fans who had purchased tickets for the show will receive refunds within 3-5 days.
The post reads, “Hi there, This event has been cancelled… The event organisers have been in touch to let us know that the show on 14 October 2023 has been cancelled.
“The following statement has been issued: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am cancelling my upcoming tour dates in Europe. I’m already working with my team and will be back soon.”
“We’ve already issued a refund for your booking – so you don’t need to do a thing. You’ll see a credit onto the method of payment you used within 3-5 days”.
