In a recent social media post, popular Nigerian singer and songwriter Fave expressed her disappointment with fellow artist Davido for performing their collaborative hit song, “Kante,” without her.
Fave took to her verified X (formerly known as Twitter) page to share her story about how her New Year’s began and Davido’s role in it.
Fave revealed that she had met Davido backstage and they even exchanged hugs. However, to her dismay, Davido went on to perform their beloved song “Kante” without including her verse.
It is important to note that “Kante” is a track from Davido’s fourth studio album, Timeless, and features Fave.
The song “Kante,” with its catchy melodies and Fave’s memorable verse, gained significant popularity among music lovers, and Fave received much praise for her contribution to the track.
Fave expressed her disappointment, stating that she would have loved to perform the song alongside Davido on stage, as it would have been a great way to kickstart her year.
Fave in the call-out post that is trending on social media wrote; “Begun my new years with such a huge gag lol hugging Davido backstage as he’s about to perform, to watching him perform Kante in a new version with my verse taken off. Performing with you would have been a good way to start my year but I guess life happens. Happy nu year🤞💋.”
