The Algeria Football Federation has reportedly offered Jose Peseiro a generous monthly salary of $90,000 to lead the Desert Foxes.
Peseiro is competing with Carlos Querioz and Vladimir Petkovic for the position of head coach of the Algerian national team, following Djamel Belmadi’s departure.
Sources from DZ football have indicated that the Algeria Federation is eager to bring Peseiro on board as their new head coach.
After his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation ended following the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Peseiro is currently considering his options.
During his tenure with the Super Eagles, Peseiro earned a monthly salary of $50,000.
Despite finishing as runners-up in the competition, the 63-year-old’s contract expired.
In addition to Algeria, Tunisia is also reportedly interested in hiring the experienced former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach.
