Dolapo, a Twitter user, recently took to X Platform to call out reality TV star Anto Lecky for using the word “doctor” in her social network bio.
He stated that it was inappropriate for her to add a doctor to her name since her degree was honorary. He recommended she remove the doctor from her biography. He further added that if she truly wanted to be addressed as a doctor, she needed to attend medical school or pursue a PhD.
He also mentioned that she had updated the title on her website. He indicated that as a doctoral candidate, he would not let individuals claim that label without suffering through the same sleepless night as he did.
In his words, he says,
, why did you add doctor to your name when your doctorate is honorary? Take that shit off sis. If you want to be addressed as a doctor, go to med school or go do a fucking PhD. This clown even adds the title on her website. As a doctoral candidate, I will not let you use that designation without going through the same sleepless night. You may have missed the memo but only the institution conferring the honorary degree is allowed to call you a doctor”
