Yemi Alade, a Nigerian artist, has denied viral accusations of sexual harassment in the music industry.
Hours ago, an interview with Yemi Alade went viral, in which she confessed that the reason she rarely wins music industry awards is because men want to sleep with her. She further indicated that her refusal to participate in such activities may have affected her award recognition in Nigeria.
She stated that she is frequently overlooked for award nominations, which she attributes primarily to men. She also expressed her astonishment that she feels disregarded by the award despite being one of the most seen and subscribed Nigerian female musicians on YouTube.
Now, taking to her Instagram story, she debunked such a report, questioned whether bloggers have started creating false stories whenever they’re bored, called such reports stupidity at its peak, and called them unintelligent.
She revealed that when she read the interview, she was speechless as she noted how she had suffered at the hands of rumour peddlers.
Telling them to get a job, she added that such writeup is an unintelligent excuse for a blogger.
