David Adeleke, also known as Davido, recently stated that his family is involved in providing electricity to a significant part of Nigeria.
He mentioned that his family owns four power plants that play a crucial role in fulfilling the country’s energy requirements.
Speaking on the American podcast ‘Business Untitled,’ Davido discussed his family’s business ventures and personal investments.
He said, “I once tried to go into cryptocurrency because Nigeria is big on crypto. Apart from that, me and my family have like four power plants worth a lot of money. W distribute energy to most of Nigeria
My wife is into culinary. We are trying to start a restaurant for her. But my main business is what I love; my music.”
Despite his family’s wealth and investments in the energy industry, some may question his assertion that they are the main suppliers of energy in Nigeria.
In reality, the majority of Nigeria’s major thermal and hydropower plants are government-owned.
