Musician Davido’s decision to take his first baby mama, Sophia Momodu, to court over custody of their daughter, Imade Adeleke, has sparked mixed emotions.
Creebhills revealed hours ago that Davido is seeking joint custody of his daughter because Sophia has been refusing him access to her and extorting money from him.
He explained that, despite having a connection with Momodu that resulted in the birth of their child on May 14, 2015, the relationship ended several years ago, and they resolved to care for their child as a biological father and mother.
Davido revealed that he has been responsible for the payment of Imade’s school fees since her birth and had purchased a N200m worth of apartment at Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos for Sophia which she rejected. She rather chose to live in a rented apartment and demanded he pays N5million annually for the facility.
He had also bought a Range Rover Sport Utility vehicle for the use of Imade and Sophia to meet their transport needs, yet all his efforts were futile as Sophia was still making enormous demands from him.
