Joe Biden, the United States president and  Democratic Party candidate for the upcoming election, has accused Elon Musk, the wealthiest man in the United States, of trying to purchase victory for the Republican Party candidate, Donald Trump.

This comes after Musk pledged to donate to a new fund supporting Trump’s presidential campaign, reportedly contributing $45 million each month.

Expressing his frustration, Biden stated that he was tired of billionaires like Musk attempting to influence the November election in favor of Trump. He encouraged Americans to donate to his campaign in order to defeat Trump.

On his X handle Thursday, Biden wrote: “I’m sick of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election.

“And if you agree, pitch in here.”

Elon Musk recently publicly endorsed Donald Trump after surviving an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The upcoming election on November 5th will see Trump facing off against Democratic incumbent Joe Biden on the Republican Party platform in what is poised to be America’s first run.
