According to reports, gunshots were fired at Donald Trump’s event in Pennsylvania, prompting security to remove the former president off stage.
Trump appeared to tumble to the ground while giving a speech. He was instantly encircled by armed guards and remained down for about a minute.
He then got to his feet and pumped his fist in the air before being led off stage and into a vehicle. He was then driven away from the site.
Video appeared to show blood on his ear as he was taken away. The former president appeared to be clutching the side of his head as he fell to the ground.
Republican senator for Ohio, J.D. Vance, said in a post on the X social media platform: “Everyone join me in praying for our President Trump and everyone at that rally. I hope everyone is ok.”
US President Joe Biden said he was not briefed on the reported shooting, speaking to reporters as he walked out of church in Delaware.
