Billionaire businessman Elon Musk announced his endorsement of former US President and Republican Party candidate Donald Trump for the upcoming election.
Elon Musk expressed his support for Trump on Saturday night in response to news of a shooting at one of Trump’s rallies in Pennsylvania.
Video footage showed Trump being rushed off-stage with blood visible on his ear.
The shooting tragically led to the deaths of the shooter and one audience member, as reported by the Associated Press.
Reacting to the incident via his X handle, Elon Musk wrote: “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.”
In another post, he wrote: “Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt.”
On November 5th, Donald Trump would run against incumbent Joe Biden of the Democratic Party on the platform of the Republican Party in what would be America’s first rematch election in almost 70 years.
