Joe Biden, the US President and Democratic Party candidate for the upcoming election, has denounced the assassination attempt on his Republican Party rival, Donald Trump.
Two individuals tragically lost their lives following gunshots at Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, with the former president being swiftly escorted off stage by armed security.
Joe Biden promptly released a statement condemning the violence and emphasizing that there is no room for political violence in America.
He praised the secret service for averting the assassination attempt on his opponent.
“Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it,” the statement added.
