US election: Kamala Harris takes over Biden-Harris $96 million campaign account

The Biden-Harris campaign has formally modified submissions with the Federal Election Commission to change the name of its primary committee and officially announce Kamala Harris as a presidential candidate.

According to the Campaign Legal Center, it is possible for Kamala Harris to assume authority over the Biden-Harris campaign fund should she continue as part of the ticket for the upcoming general election.

As per CNN’s coverage, the campaign fund had an approximate amount of $96 million in cash reserves by the conclusion of June.

As reported by CREEBHILLS, President Joe Biden declared the halt of his reelection campaign for 2024 on Sunday.

However, shortly after Biden’s withdrawal from the electoral race, the campaign committee submitted documents to the Federal Election Commission, rebranding the committee as “Harris for President.”

In addition, the committee submitted a correspondence to the commission affirming that “Vice President Harris is currently a contender for the Presidency of the United States in the 2024 election.”
