Nigerian artist Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems, has denied rumors of being pregnant by American rapper Future.
The speculation started when she was seen at Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2024 London Fashion Week show wearing a fitted black dress with a purple fluffy coat and heels, leading some to believe she was expecting.
During an appearance on ‘The Breakfast Club’, Tems questioned why Future was singled out as the rumored father and not other artists like Wizkid or Drake.
“People just take the most controversial things. Because I was thinking like, why am I pregnant for Future? Why Future? Because that’s the craziest,” she said.
“Why not Wizkid? Why not Drake? Why not somebody else? If it was Drake, it would be the same thing but the reason why it is Future is because of his reputation.
“He has about five kids. And has a reputation of being a ladies’ man.”
Tems also revealed the top rap artistes that inspired her.
She mentioned Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Ab-Soul, Andre 3000 and J.Cole.
She was featured in Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’ album in 2021.
J.Cole was one of only two featured artistes on Tems’ debut album, ‘Born In The Wild’, which was released this year.
