Barcelona star Lamine Yamal taunts Real Madrid as his team takes the lead in the La Liga standings.
The young Spain International suggests that it is painful for the title holders to see Barcelona leading the pack at this stage of the season.
Barcelona has made a stellar start to the 2024-25 La Liga campaign, winning all four of their matches, including a 7-0 thrashing of Real Valladolid on August 31.
In contrast, Real Madrid has recorded two draws and two wins in their first four games, putting them four points behind Barcelona in second place.
During an appearance on the Spanish TV show Antena 3’s El Hormiguero, Lamine Yamal was asked if Real Madrid is feeling the “pain” of Barcelona’s current dominance in the title race.
The 2024 Euro championship winner responded with a cheeky dig, saying, “Yes, it hurts them, as we are in the lead right now [smiles].”
