JUST IN: Dangote Denies Reports of Selling Fuel to NNPC at N898 per Litre

Dangote Drops bombshell Reveals

In a recent statement, Dangote Refinery has strongly denied the claim that it sold Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) at N898 per litre.

The clarification was made by Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, who described the claim as misleading and aimed at undermining the progress made by the refinery.

Dangote urged Nigerians to disregard the misinformation and wait for a formal pricing announcement, expected on October 1, 2024, as decided by the Presidential Technical Sub-Committee on Naira-based crude sales.

The refinery emphasized that the current stock was purchased in dollars, which provided cost savings compared to the prices NNPCL would pay for imports. They assured the public of continued availability of quality petroleum products nationwide, aiming to put an end to the recurring fuel scarcity.

NNPCL’s spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, had previously stated that fuel from Dangote was sold at N898 per litre, a claim the refinery has now debunked
