Early Life
Adunni Ade (born June 7, 1976, 49 years old) was raised in Queens, New York, by her German-Irish mother Emily Faye and Yoruba-Nigerian father. As a Nollywood actress, filmmaker, and fashion enthusiast, she has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry.
When Adunni was just a year and a half old, she and her parents returned to Nigeria to attend her grandfather’s funeral. She grew up in Lagos State with her father until her late teens before returning to the United States for university studies.
Education
Adunni Ade began her education at Chrisland Primary School in Opebi, Lagos State, where she earned her First School Leaving Certificate. She then completed her Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) at Bells Comprehensive Secondary School in Ota, Ogun State.
For higher education, Adunni studied accounting at the University of Kentucky, inspired by her father, a successful businessman based in Lagos, who encouraged her to pursue this field.
Career
Before transitioning into the entertainment industry, Adunni Ade worked in the housing and insurance sectors in the United States. She initially ventured into fashion modelling and even appeared on America’s Next Top Model. After relocating back to Nigeria, she made her Nollywood debut in the Yoruba film “You or I” in 2013.

In 2014, Adunni gained significant attention with her comedy skit “Date Gone Bad,” which amassed over 170,000 views on YouTube.
Adunni has since appeared in over 250 Nollywood films in both English and Yoruba. In 2021, she expanded her career into film production with her company, Lou-Ellen Clara Company Limited.
Her debut film as an executive producer, “SOÓLÈ,” starred prominent actors like Sola Sobowale, Femi Jacobs, Meg Otanwa, Shawn Faqua, and Lateef Dimeji and was directed by Kayode Kasum.
