Renowned Greek vocalist, Marinella, has experienced a cerebrovascular accident during a live performance.
The 86-year-old diva succumbed to the incident on Wednesday evening while performing at the esteemed Herod Atticus Theatre in Athens.
The occurrence transpired when the artist lost her equilibrium and subsequently collapsed during her third musical piece on stage.
The concert, which was additionally anticipated to showcase Greek singer Antonis Remos, was promptly annulled.
A statement released by Hygeia Hospital on Thursday, stated that “Marinella is currently being treated in the intensive care unit for severe brain bleeding”.
