Nollywood actor turned preacher Yul Edochie has stated that Nigerians have been influenced by biblical stories and urged them to reconnect with their cultural heritage.
Yul Edochie, who launched his own church, ‘True Salvation Ministry, TSM,’ in January 2024, criticized Nigerians for prioritizing biblical figures over their ancestral history.
In a recent Facebook post, Yul emphasized the importance of exploring their own historical narratives rather than focusing solely on biblical characters like Moses, Jacob, and the people of Israel.
“We have been brainwashed to know everything about Moses, Isaac, Jacob and the people of Israel. Yet we know nothing about our ancestors, their exploits, and the great people in our lineage.
“If you don’t know who you are and where you are coming from, you will never know where you are heading to.”
