Daddy Freeze reacts to Pastor Adeboye’s apology on tithing

Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, also known as Daddy Freeze, has joined the conversation regarding Pastor E.A. Adeboye’s recent apology concerning tithing.

The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) acknowledged that he was wrong to suggest that paying tithes is necessary for entering heaven.

In a video posted on social media, Daddy Freeze thanked Pastor Adeboye for his courageous admission.

The outspoken critic of tithing, through his “Free The Sheeple” ministry, acknowledged that his past criticisms may have been too harsh.

He also mentioned that his teachings had a significant impact on Pastor Abel Damina’s ministry, which initially supported tithing.

“I appreciate and applaud Pastor EA Adeboye, the general overseer of RCCG for his apology on tithing, daddy I appreciate the fact that you are courageous enough to agree that you made a mistake. And I also want to use this as a medium to also apologise to you over my words seven years ago about this tithing issue if they were very harsh. Seven years ago when I came with the issue of tithing, even Abel Damina then was still paying and collecting tithe, it was my message that started the Abel Damina movement you are seeing today in 2017,” DaddyFreeze said in part.
