Former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has stated that Nigerians have rejected Atiku Abubakar.
Wike advised the former Vice President to return to his hometown as he has failed in multiple election attempts.
Mocking Atiku, while addressing his followers in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, he said: “I heard Atiku say Nigerians have rejected us. Did we pick form [to contest Rivers’ LG election]? No.
“I hear Atiku Abubakar said that Nigerians have rejected us in Rivers State. You, who have contested and failed woefully, Nigerians have rejected you; therefore, go back home.”
The All Peoples Party, APP, won 22 out of 23 local government council seats in the state in a recent election.
