Xabi Alonso tipped to replace Carlos Ancelotti at Real Madrid

Bayern Munich reportedly in talks with Xabi Alonso for managerial role

The Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface, may find himself under the leadership of a new managerial figure following the conclusion of this current season.

As reported by EuroSport Spain, Xabi Alonso is anticipated to vacate his position with the Bundesliga champions at the season’s end.

Alonso has gained recognition as one of the most coveted emerging coaches in Europe, having guided Leverkusen to an undefeated domestic campaign during the previous season.

The ex-midfielder’s existing agreement with the German club is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2026.

Nonetheless, it has been indicated that he will indeed depart a year prior to that date.

Alonso is currently considered a strong candidate to succeed Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

Ancelotti’s squad has commenced this season with subpar performances in both LaLiga and the Champions League, prompting speculation regarding the Italian’s prospects at the Bernabeu.
