Afrobeats artist Tiwa Savage recently commented on the Nigerian entertainment industry, attributing the country’s economic struggles to the increased exploration of creative talents by young individuals.
In an interview on the “Shopping The Sneakers” podcast, Tiwa expressed the challenges of residing in Nigeria and its impact on the entertainment scene.
She highlighted the tough living conditions in Nigeria that cultivate a strong work ethic and a hustler mindset among artists.
She said:
“When you come to Nigeria, you will understand why we breed so many superstars. To survive in Nigeria is something else so that’s why the artists that come out of Nigeria are just like hustlers. They are just hustling.”
Tiwa Savage emphasized the resilience required to thrive in Nigeria, acknowledging the determination and talent that shine through in Nigerian artists.
