Sean Diddy has been denied bail for the third consecutive time.
The embattled rapper will now remain incarcerated until his trial scheduled for May 2025.
The 55-year-old faces charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution, all of which he has contested.
He has previously been denied bail on two occasions. This time, the request was rejected by Judge Arun Subramanian.
During the two-hour court session, Judge Subramanian scrutinized the prosecutors’ claims that Combs had attempted to impede the ongoing investigation.
Prosecutors contended that Combs should not be deemed trustworthy on bail due to his violations of jail regulations while in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in New York.
They further asserted that he posed a threat to women and had allegedly sought to tamper with witnesses from prison by utilizing three-way calling to communicate with them. Additionally, he was accused of orchestrating a social media campaign on his birthday, featuring his children singing to him, as an attempt to sway a potential jury.
“The Court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community,” the judge wrote.
Diddy’s legal representatives informed the judge that, if granted bail, he would reside in a three-bedroom apartment in Manhattan, supported by 24/7 security to oversee visits and phone communications.
The judge had previously dismissed a proposal for Siddy to stay at his residence in Miami, which includes a boat dock, stating that this arrangement “would not be acceptable.”
