Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has denied media reports claiming he is planning a $600 million wedding with his fiancée Lauren Sanchez in Aspen, Colorado, next Saturday.
In a statement on his official X, Bezos clarified that the reports were false and urged for immediate correction.
Jeff Bezos and Sanchez have been together since 2019, following Bezos’ divorce from his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott the same year.
Contrary to reports, Bezos stated that he and Sanchez are not getting married in an extravagant ceremony next weekend.
“Furthermore, this whole thing is completely false — none of this is happening. The old adage “don’t believe everything you read” is even more true today than it ever has been,” Bezos said.
“Now lies can get all the way around the world before the truth can get its pants on.
“So be careful out there, folks, and don’t be gullible. It will be interesting to see if all the outlets that “covered” and re-reported on this issue make a correction when it comes and goes and doesn’t happen.”
